It's been a while :)

Hello to all! So sorry, yet again, for my absence from this little blog...Being busy is an understatement at the moment, but isn't that how it is for most people?! To catch everyone up...school is still going, I'm currently taking my last two classes as an undergrad!! It's crazy I know... I was unsure that I would even make it to this point, but now that I have it seems unreal... I got to go to a World Series Game!

Unfortunately The Rangers lost...It doesn't matter though because it was still a World Series Game!! A few holidays have come and gone since I last posted...Halloween which was spooktastic, and Thanksgiving which was wonderful and filled my belly...all those lbs. that I spent so much time working off with my gym friends have made their way happily back to my midsection, hips and thighs! And that is where they will stay until after the holidays...something about this time of year that makes it virtually impossible to want to workout, and who wants to even think about giving up all the wonderful food that is made this time of year!? So while my husband is 20 lbs. lighter, I will take on the hard task of gaining weight for both of us :) We're going to get our Christmas tree on Saturday, which I'm super pumped about because I love everything about going out to a tree farm, picking the perfect untrimmed tree, and getting it home to decorate! I've been doing plenty of shopping for family and friends, thinking of a million things I would love to make (but know I should have started like last Christmas to have everything done in time) and have been dreaming about the wonderful cakes, cookies and sweets that are bound to come my way in the next few weeks. On a crappier note...my biggest baby...
This sweet pea
Has a weird bulbous growth under his right K9 tooth...I noticed and thought well maybe he has a splinter since he likes to chew/eat sticks...but the vet didn't see a stick or seem to think it was something that minor...so I'm taking him to a surgical center on Thursday for them to check it out...the vet said something about melanoma or another type of cancer and I'm hoping and praying that is not the case. I'll update everyone once I know what the real problem is...Though I'm not sure I'll be able to post again until January...when I'm COMPLETELY done with school, and will have so much time on my hands I won't know what to do with...actually I've already started making a list of things to do once I graduate :) Getting a job is on the top of that list...but no need to talk about that now...I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday period with their families, and I'll talk to you all soon!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Fighting Dogs Bite :/

Sorry I have been a little absent lately...lots going on as usual. I am in my second to last semester of school!! It is kind of crazy...I'm taking four classes and am currently in week two of eight...starting in November (which will be here before we know it) I will be in my last semester of undergrad classes...don't worry...I'll let y'all know when that is happening because there will be nothing short of me screaming from the rooftops to let everyone know :)... Lets see...what all has been going on since my last post...Freddie sewed on Staff, and I got to "tack"/punch him in the arm in front of tons of people including the base commander...don't worry I didn't hurt him too bad (I couldn't look like a wimp up there!!). My dad came to visit last weekend which was tons of fun...I got up at 330 AM to pick him up...yes, you read that correctly 330 in the MORNING...we all know how much I love mornings...haha and even better I got pulled over on the way there!! Thankfully the cop said I was very nice and he was thankful I didn't run from him at which point I started laughing and told him that I would NEVER run from a cop! He told me that it was too bad the guy that got pulled over before me didn't feel that way...so a big thanks to the guy who got a ticket before me because I think that saved my butt! But after I picked him up we talked the whole way home, and then hung out over the weekend with the hubs and pups. He left on Sunday which was sad, but we'll see him again soon.
Today:
Black Betty got her new hat today i.e. roof rack. I went to the dentist and found out that my teeth and gums look beautiful...BUT I have a stinkin cavity! I sewed some stuff on Freddie's uniforms. I continued knitting one of my scarfs. We went to see Contagion...wait until it comes out on DVD, or better yet TV. We took the boys for a walk...now here's where it gets interesting. We left for our walk with the boys like we normally do, and took our usual route around the neighborhood...We were within seeing distance of our house when we hear this girl yell ROSCOE!! And around her car comes what looked like a pit mix...now Freddie and I have two large dogs as most of you know, one of which is vicious...
Here's the vicious pup now.
So he's actually harmless as anyone and everyone knows...but Roscoe comes running around the corner and lunges at Gunner! Now here's the problem...Diesel and Gunner are on the same leash because we have this Y attachment that makes it so they can still move around, but we only have to use one leash...so Gunner gets pissed and growls and both dogs are showing teeth and going at each other...Freddie's pulling the leash and I'm jumping in the middle of these dogs trying to pull Gunner away from this other dog...the other dog backs away for a split second and decides it wants to go after Diesel...well Diesel isn't having any of this so he lunged right back at this other dog...at this point the owner is outside trying to get her dog (who does not have a collar on) away from our boys while Freddie and I are both trying to pull the boys away from her dog...Freddie had some choice words for her and I could see in her face how bad she felt. The boys were ok...they can certainly hold their own, but I on the other hand have a swollen finger and a nice scratch on my foot from one of the dogs...I think I'll send the lady a note...with one of the boys old collars attached to it :) It was a very interesting way to end the night though...so now we're all relaxing at home. The boys are wiped from their brush with a fight and we're just tired because we always are. So off for now, and I'll try to keep y'all more up to date with all of the adventures that go on here. Adios Amigos!

Correction: After writing this post Freddie came in and was petting the boys and noticed that Diesel has a battle wound...he has a little cut on his lip...but he told us that was ok and would do anything to keep his brother safe. Gotta love big brothers :)

Beachskin...is in?

I'm in Florida...it's raining, and I'm sitting at a doctors office. My mom is having layer upon layer removed above her eye because she has stage 3 Melanoma. She's been in some pain, but for the most part she's doing well. My dad is here too!! We've just all been hanging out at this sweet doctors office so she can have this junk removed and get better!! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers by the way...I totally know that they're helping...I can see it :).

On a lighter note...I did get to go to the beach before the rain came with one of my besties Jackie!! Oh how I love and have missed that girl! Even though we're so different we always find something that keeps us together...PB&J's, Honeynut Cherrios, feathers in our hair, long talks...just about anything and everything that makes friends friends :) I got NINE inches cut off my hair and added two feathers!!
The feathers are together...one is purple and the other is teal!!
*Don't mind my hair being a hot mess...I am hanging out at a Dr.'s Office today!*

After getting all of my hair chopped off we spent the rest of our time at the beach and shopping. I got some sweet new workout clothes that I plan on using while hanging/working out with my gal Ash, and I've got a sweet little tan to go with it!! Love having a tan...although I am sure to put sunscreen on because I do not want Melanoma by all means...We floated in the water on floaties, road our bikes with much more stuff than needed and had a great time!!
Thanks for coming to visit Jackie!

Other than that I have been working on school stuff because this week I have finals...UGH!! Thankfully I get next week off which means, sewing and maybe some knitting...I know..I'm SUPER exciting these days!! haha...There will be a lot of working out and possibly Zumba...yes Ash, that's directed at you :). We can also get some drinks and whatnot to celebrate all of our hardwork!! Freddie and the boys are working hard at home, playing frisbee, eating lots of junk food and playing video games...they miss me for sure!! Alright...enough playing on the blog and time to get back to homework and laughing at ridiculous things that only we laugh at :) I'm off for now! Don't forget to WEAR SUNSCREEN...at least 30 SPF (believe me we talked and TALKED about that in my A&P class...30 spf is the least amount that you want to wear!!)

No phone, no internet, no tv...just silence.

I got up early today to take poor little black betty into the VW dealership because she's sick. I thought she may have just had a cold, and little did I know that she was on the verge of the plague! I have to get my window fixed (again), a new water pump and timing belt, and was going to get the third backup light fixed but found out I can do that myself. So, after the minor heart attack I had when the service woman told me with a sly smile on her face how much damage BB's sickness was going to do to my bank account I was happy to know that she would be ok after tomorrow. Well...she better be ok after tomorrow because I can't keep this up! So, Dizzle was nice enough to come get me and bring me back to my house, even though it was somewhat early (it's ok, she likes to get up at 4 AM because she thinks it's fun :) ), I find out that my tv, internet and phone are all out!!! Ok, so the tv and phone aren't that big of a deal because I had planned on working on school stuff since I am going to FL for the weekend to hang out with one of my besties (who I am super excited to see!!)...but the internet being out was not a good thing! What was I to do? I called the people who deal with our bundle package and they said, Oh no problem...there's a guy out there fixing it now and it should be back up in an hour or two...AN HOUR OR TWO!? That's a lot of time for a girl who has no car, and no entertainment at home!! Oh how wrong I was...Freddie bought me this sweet little table to set all of my sewing stuff up so I wouldn't continue to take over the dining room table, so I went into our game room, sat at my sewing table and set everything up...I threaded my machine, got all of my supplies out so I could cut my fabric that I bought last week and got to it!! I bought some fabric to make some new pillow cases for the pillows on our couch...they needed some sprucing...I cut everything and started to pin the fabric...things were going great, until I realized that I was going to be sewing a zipper to the bottom of these pillow cases...Now this may not seem like a big deal right? WRONG!! Let me reiterate what I was doing...I was sewing pillow cases (without a pattern) and I wanted to sew a zipper to the bottom of my non-patterned pillow cases (I've NEVER sewn a zipper on ANYTHING before!!) So this was kind of a big deal...I ended up sewing the zipper on just fine (kind of) and the pillow actually came out really cute (I don't know why I wouldn't think it would turn out cute...) After finishing the pillow it was 230...still no internet, phone or tv... So I decided to make another pillow case (I do plan on having 4 of them since I have 4 decorative pillows on our couches). The next one came out even better!!
The one on the left was the first one I did and the one on the right was my second one!

I took a side pic to show that I used two different fabrics on the pillow :)
Yep, I was getting fancy with it.

By the time Freddie got home from work I was done with the pillows, and they are now on our couch...I'm glad there was nothing to distract me from this today... I like the new pillow cases, and I'm super excited to make more!! Well I guess that's it for now...This crafty lady is off for now...Until next time folks!!

Sew, what did you say?!

Sewing...something that I have never really been interested in until recently. It all started 5 years ago when my mom got me a sewing machine for Christmas...I gave her the best thank you smile I could, but was thinking to myself 'what was she thinking'?! Since that Christmas day the sewing machine sat in the box it came in. Freddie and I pulled it out once to try and fix something on his uniform, and we couldn't even figure out how to thread the dang thing!! So back in the box it went, and moved from place to place with us. For whatever reason, and I think I'm going to blame pinterest (if you haven't checked that site out by the way you probably should because it's super amazing/addicting!), I have been feeling uber crafty lately. I kept seeing all of these items that I felt I could recreate, but would have to learn how to sew first. So thanks to one of the other SERE wives here who went to this cute little sewing/fabric boutique to learn to sew, I got the guts to sign up for a sewing class there as well. I was seriously nervous for my first class! One I was going to do something COMPLETELY out of my element and two I was going at it alone. Of course Freddie supported my new interest, and really wanted me to go so I could teach him what I have learned and fix his uniforms. So I took a leap of faith and went to my first class! Thankfully, it is a small class...6 ladies including myself, a cute little instructor who has a crazy passion for sewing, quilting and baking (and she likes to bring treats!) and 6 different sewing machines!! I was super excited to learn that I have a very good sewing machine (THANKS MOM!), and that it is very easy to use. So the first day of my 2 day class was learning about the sewing machine...the names of everything on it, which is very helpful, so now I can look at things online to sew and know what they're talking about! We also got to practice sewing...on paper! We practiced sewing straight lines, curved lines, pivoting in the corners and back stitching!! The second day I was a little nervous about because we were actually going to sew something, and not just use paper!! We got there, got our sewing machines set up, and out came the fabric!! We were given three pieces of precut fabric to make a pillow case! It was a struggle at first because I pinned the fabric wrong, which put me behind everyone else...so that was frustrating...plus, I like to take my time because I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to certain things...but once I caught up things were all good...Needless to say, we all finished our projects and were super excited!! I had actually sewn and made my very own pillow case!!
Here's the finished product!!
I can't believe that I did that!! So I was super pumped, and decided to sign up for another class! The next class is tomorrow, and we're learning how to read patterns and make clothing! I got to pick out the fabric that I wanted and everything! I'll post pictures of what I make at the end of the week...So, over the weekend I started looking at fabric online and found 2 projects that I want to take on!! A quilt and a jelly pillow!! The thing is though that I already got fabric to make some new pillow covers for the pillows on our couch! So I need to make those first, and then start on the other things...and all while doing my school stuff!! I think know I'm in trouble...I'm way to excited/obsessed with this new sewing ability!! That's all for me right now...I've been crafting other things, but I've gone on and on already about sewing I think that's enough about crafts for now!! I'm off to work on some school stuff, and then pillow cases!! Until next time y'all!!

Goodbye SrA...Hello SSgt!!

Soooo....FREDDIE MADE STAFF SERGEANT!!
He's SO happy!!

I am sooo happy and proud of him!! He worked very hard, and it paid off! I know that he is extremely relieved and happy as well...so I think I'm going to take my handsome SSgt out for a celebratory lunch, and then maybe we'll have a little BBQ tomorrow for him and Dittmer...Yep, Joe made it also. Two friends that have gone through so much together made Staff at the same time! It's cute :)

In other news...I've started taking sewing lessons!! I don't know where or why this little craftiness has come about, but I love it!! What's funny is I'm not the only one...Freddie is super pumped that I will soon be able to fix things on his uniforms...*sigh*...not sure I'm excited about that one, but whatever helps him I will do :). I think my first project outside of class is going to be a quilt...I've already been looking at fabrics and patterns that I want to attempt! We're sewing a pillow case tonight, and then next week we'll be sewing an outfit for a little one, and learning to read patterns :)! Uber excited...but this little crafty one is off! I've got lots to do before a busy afternoon of errand running and sewing class! Good day to all dear friends!

Trucks, drive-ins and stories oh my!

Hello All! So sorry for the delay in writing...much has been going on, and I've been procrastinating on writing here and on my homework...so guess which had to be done first?! Now that the stinky homework is out of the way for a little bit I've got time to let you all in on what's been going on over here with the Kighties...First off, everyone knows I drive a Bug...it's the cutest little thing and I just couldn't bare to part with it yet (we've been talking about upgrading to a 4 door vehicle for our 4legged children and possibly a 2 legged child in the future). So I told the hubs that I wanted to keep Black Betty, and he said ok. But since his truck was racking up the miles I told him maybe we should 'look' into getting him a new truck, which he ran with!! He was so excited, and began looking for trucks immediately!! When he finally found what he was looking for we made a trip to FL and the deal hashing began...After much debate we got the numbers we wanted and bought ourselves a truck!!

Here's the new guy now...
Freddie's in love. I was super excited because we got a new truck that has a huge back seat...get your minds out of the gutter...I was happy because the boys would have more room in the back on road trips!! Except for the fact that Freddie does NOT want to put the boys in the truck yet...he says he doesn't want to ruin the newness...I get it. I understand. But now I will be driving my sweet little Black Betty back to TX with the boys in it...which means I need to purchase a roof rack along with new tires because where am I going to put my stuff when I have to  TWO 120 lb. pups in the back!? So that's the news with that...will update more later on this subject!

On to other fun news!! Freddie took me on a date to a drive-in movie!! I was sooo excited that we found one down here! It wasn't too far away, and it was featuring a double showing!! So we went to see Captain America and Super 8. Captain America was good...just make sure if you ever go to a drive-in and you turn your car off and leave your radio on to turn your car on every 30 minutes to make sure the battery doesn't die...because mine did :) Thankfully, the people that run the place have a battery recharger thing...they came over and attached it and Black Betty started right up!! We watched the rest of the movie in the comfort of the AC.
This was our view from the car.
I could see the other screen in my mirror!!
Fun snacks for the movies!
I like to make goofy faces when I take pictures...
Freddie likes to make fun of me making faces :)
I love him for taking me on fun dates!

So after all that was over we were going through some of the stuff we took out of the old truck...and I found an old picture of Freddie and I. When I turned it over it had this story typed onto the back of it that I had written for him before I left for college and he to the military!! I couldn't believe it! But here it is...
Once there was this girl and this boy who were in love.
The girl was sad because she had to leave the boy to go to school.
And the boy was sad because he had to leave to go to the military.
But the boy and the girl saw each other as much as they could.
And then it was time for the boy to leave.
And the girl cried.
But the girl knew that if she tried hard, she would finish school in two years.
So the girl worked hard and went to visit the boy every time she could.
And then the girl graduated.
And the boy was happy.
And the boy asked the girl if she would be his forever.
And the girl said yes.
And they lived happily ever after...
With their two dogs and 4 wheelers in the snow.

Haha! So some of that story has come true so far...just not in the order I wrote it in. It's funny when you find something that you wrote so long ago...
Anyway...good day to all!

The end of an era!

So this weekend I was very excited because Freddie and I went to see Harry Potter!! (I liked this movie very much by the way. Others may have their opinions, so I think that I am fully entitled to mine!) It was very bittersweet for me...I was super excited to see the movie, but was sad because it was the last installment of the series. But, I guess all good things must come to an end...boo to whoever came up with that phrase! In other news we will most likely be living here for at least another year...boo to that too! Oh well though...I guess once I finish my Bachelors, which will be at the end of December, then I can go on to get my Masters!!! When I told Freddie about my great idea he looked at me with a 'you've got to be kidding me' look...to which I responded nope!! I think I'm going to finally get my personal trainer's certification, and work on my Masters while we're stuck here for a little longer. That way I'll be able to work and do school stuff at the same time( what a concept eh?!)! I think it's a great idea because whenever we do move then hopefully I'll be COMPLETELY done with school, and will be able to get a fantabulous job doing something I love...that's the dream anyway. Oh...I forgot to tell y'all what I plan on getting my Masters in...well Nutrition and Wellness!! I know some of you are smiling right now because you all know how much I LOVE sweets, but there is nothing that says you can't have a sweet tooth and be a nutritionist! Right?! So that is what's going on right now...Next week there will be more homeworking and working out...I'm totally pumped about classes this next week too! Ash and I went to pilates and zumba the other night and got a crazy good workout in! So that's the plan...homework and workout...yep. Anywho...have a wonderful week folks!!

Diesel Mac

So on July 8th Diesel Mac turned 4!! I can't believe my big guy is 4 years old!! It seems like just yesterday we got him...
How can you NOT love this face?!
He was quickly dubbed a Steelers fan...he's a mama's boy for sure :)
He then got a little brother...whom he loves dearly!!
And here's my big man now...

So many of my friends have kids...well here's one of my "kids". I love him more than anyone could know, and I know that seems silly because he's a dog, but he's mine. Diesel is family and I love him to death. He has kept me company through Freddie's many TDY's and deployments, gave me kisses when I've cried, and laid with me when I've been sick. He's one of my best friends, and my life would be empty without him in it. Happy Birthday Diesel Mac! I love you!!

The meaning of frustration

Frustration: the feeling of being upset or annoyed esp. because of inability to change or achieve something.

This was the dictionary's definition of frustration...and that is exactly how I am feeling...I have been on the phone/chat with my STUPID school since 9 AM!! I have been trying to get them to lift a hold off of my account that should have been lifted a couple of days ago, but wasn't because THEY messed something up...so what happens?! I pay for their stupid mistakes!! I don't think I've ever been so frustrated with a school before in my life!! I've done everything and talked to everyone that I could, and yet somehow no one can do ANYTHING! I just have to sit and wait...annoying. So while I'm sitting and waiting on my uber annoying school I'm going to do some reading...

I'm reading The Shack right now...for those of you who haven't read it it's pretty good. I just got through the most sad and heart wrenching part of the book...well at least what I know of so far...and I'm still into it. So off I go to read some more since I won't be reading any textbooks any time soon...ugh!

Hope you're all having a better day than me!!

Post 4th

So I hope EVERYONE had a wonderful 4th of July!! I can't believe our country is 235 years old! Pretty crazy...I wonder what the founding fathers would think of our country now...hmmm

Anyway, Freddie and I drove to FL with the boys for the weekend and had a wonderful time!! We went to the beach, rode bikes down to a fun little bar by the beach (even though it was only a mile and a half, and dark out, it was super hot and humid!) and went to watch fireworks on the beach!
I tried to take this pic with my iphone while at the beach...tried to get fireworks in the background, but it didn't work out that way!! Oh well!

It was tons of fun though to be able to sit by the water, hear the waves crash, and watch fireworks with my main squeeze! I love it when he's home for holidays...it makes them even more special!! People outside the military tend to take holidays...even every day that their spouse can come home from his/her 9-5 job for granted...I am super happy just for the fact that he GETS to be home on a holiday, and every other regular day...
Other than that we just hung out for the weekend and relaxed...OH!! I forgot to mention that after a very stressful month last month...Freddie is now a Jump Master!! I would let him check my chute any day ;) I cannot express how proud I am of him for this huge accomplishment!! He worked so hard, and he made it happen!!
In other news- I have started school...again...four classes this semester (aka 8 weeks), four classes next semester (sept-oct.) and then two classes in nov-dec and I'm DONE!! It's craziness...I will finally have a degree after Christmas...Although it seems that my school is doing everything possible to make it IMPOSSIBLE for me to finish...they throw every obstacle at me that they can think of I swear...I feel as though I am continually fighting them just to finish...It's alright though...I'm a fighter...and I don't like to lose :) Other than that not much else going on! I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!

Muito Amor.

Success!!

Success is mine!! For the first time in my LOOOOONNNNGGGG collegiate career I have achieved ALL A's in my classes!! I realize that this may seem like a small victory to some, but this is HUGE! Super excited if you can not already tell...and if this makes me a bit of a nerd, so be it! Any who...in other news Freddie and I have gone to see two movies in the past two days...Transformers and Cars! Transformers was stinkin amazing!! Sooo much better than the second one, and probably just as good as the first one! Cars was great too! Mator was his lovable self as always, and it was just a good sweet movie. The kids in the theater loved it! There were tons of oooo's and ahhhh's, giggles and clapping from the tiny peanut gallery that surrounded the few adults that were in the movie. Just hearing the kids laugh made the movie that much better. Other than that there have been errand runs, frisbee throwing (for Guns of course), and mindless driving through this amazing town of Valdosta. Tomorrow we're off to Florida for the 4th! Not sure how much I'll be writing until after the holiday, so HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!! Have a cracking and popping (get it? like the sounds fireworks make? hehe) good time with the family, friends and fireworks!!

Busy Bee!

So much has been going on since I last posted...I drove to my mom's last week to make a trip to HOTlanta with her for work. Just getting to her house was an adventure in itself!! I drove my car...with the dogs...in the back of the car!!
Imagine these two in the back of a VW Beetle!
No worries...I dropped down the backseat, and took out the thing separating the backseat from the trunk, so they had a ton of room in the back!! Once we got to Florida I dropped the boys off with their trainer, who was super excited and happy to have them back staying with her...then made it to my mom's house to go have dinner. We left on Wednesday to go to Hotlanta, stopped in Montgomery to have dinner with my 2nd grandpa on my mom's side (super good to see his face), and finally made it into Hotlanta. The next day we went to breakfast, and my mom was off to her meeting which gave me time to work on school stuff. Once she was done we.went.SHOPPING!!! I was super excited because we don't live around a REAL mall here...so I was very happy to be able to visit my beloved Nordies for the first time in a long time...Well after we went shopping we found out that we had to drive to Macon, GA (home to Warner Robins AFB air force friends) to drop something off for my mom's work, and boy am I glad that Freddie did not get stationed there! That place really is in the middle of nowhere!! We had a great time though, and laughed at just about everything!! Anywho, after that we drove back to FL. We were both tired, but I knew that I was going to have to get up early the next day to go get my boys and head back to GA...again. So I went home, and then was able to blow off some steam with Sadler family and friends!! We had a wonderful time! I finished classes on Sunday, and have the rest of the week off...it's my summer vaca!! So what have I been doing on this summer vaca you ask?? Well let me tell you...
1. Cleaned out my desk area/ rearranged all the books that I own
2. Cleaned out my safe and got rid of tons!
3. Went to see Midnight in Paris ( It was amazing!! My recommendation...go see it! But it is Woody Allen, so you need to understand that from the start.)
4. Registered for classes/ got into a fight with financial aid & one of my professors!!
And it's just Tuesday!! I know that doesn't seem like much, but it takes much longer than one would think...Anyway, I will update y'all later!! Have a wonderful evening!!

HUBS!!

So yesterday was a wonderful day because I celebrated 4 years of marriage to a wonderful man!!
This guy to be exact!
I had great well wishes from so many people which makes me happy! Freddie called me bright and early to tell me how much he loved me and couldn't be happier...which is what everyone wants to hear from their loved one!! It was a wonderful day that my mom helped me celebrate by going to dinner and the bookstore! Tons of fun, and I'm so thankful to everyone for all the Happy Anniversaries!! I couldn't ask for a better husband and best friend...he makes me laugh, listens when I need to complain, and let's me cry over silly things like where we'll be moving to next. He is amazing and I love him to death! I cannot believe that it has already been 4 years...and 7 years of actually being together!! Craziness...and I love every second of it. Thanks for being mine babe. You're the best. Eu te amo!!

Spin Away...

I have befriended some of the group fitness instructors on base, and it makes me much happier to go to the gym knowing that I will run into one of them...no pun intended. Well one of my friends teaches a spin class which is a crazy, hard, super awesome workout. I have attended spin classes before, but I normally prefer cardio and strength training classes. Well one of my friends has decided to go on hiatus, and go to Cali for a month before he PCS's which has forced me to look for new classes other than my normal cardio class. So I tell my friend that I will attempt to go to her spin class, which is at 7 AM on Wednesdays...I failed last week. But this week I have my mom, who thinks it is normal to get up before the sun rises, here to be my alarm clock that will not turn off. We made it to class today right before a squadron decided to attend the same class. I was thankful that 1. she saved us two bikes...up in the front no less and 2. once she started class she turned the lights off, but had this cute strobe/disco ball light on that helped brighten my spirits and make me feel like I was riding into the 60's and 70's...although the music was definitely NOT of those era's. Needless to say I kept up, but it.was.hard. I think I may go back...not sure that I will make it a weekly thing, but if I go every Wednesday, and some other days that it is offered I may actually be able to ride long distances outside of a spin room. I love trying new workouts, and I am always grateful when I have people to try them with me. So we shall see what the future holds as far as my venture out to different styles of workout, but I do love a good burn. Guess that is why I will have my degree in December in Sports and Health Science...until then spin away!!

Starting out slow!

So today has started out very slowly...I couldn't sleep last night, so I started reading my book The Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin (love her by the way) and I was just getting the to part of the book that you don't want to put down because it's getting so good...only problem was it was two in the morning!! So unfortunately I put it down and went to sleep knowing that my sweet little Guns would wake me up bright and early full of eagerness and hunger to start the day...which is exactly what happened!
But how can you be mad at this face?!
So now I'm attempting to start/finish writing a workout plan for one of my classes, but it just seems so much easier to write plans for others versus myself. Plus, my mom is here to hang out with me for the rest of the week!
This sweet lady right here!!
And although she's working right now... there are other things that I would rather do! Anyway...I hope that everyone has a lovely day...especially you Chels...since you're my first and only follower!! :)

Poor boys...

So Freddie and I thought it would be a great idea to order the boys (Diesel and Gunner) some outdoor gear!! We ended up ordering 2 pfd's since Guns has a hard time swimming in anything but the ocean, and Diesel gets tired kind of quickly! We also ordered 2 sets of shoes that have vibram soles!! Every time we go running in the woods or hiking poor Gunner gets his paws all jacked up! So we put their shoes on them first which was hilarious to us, not so much to them, and let them walk around the house to get used to them. Both of the boys didn't even want to move, so we took them outside to play frisbee and that really got them going! Diesel acted like he didn't even have shoes on, but Gunner's back legs were coming up so high it was super funny. I felt bad though because it almost seemed as if we were torturing them! So after they got used to the shoes we took them inside to try on their vests!! This was the end product...
Diesel Mac

They were so tired after running around outside!

Gunner
Needless to say they were happy to get this gear off! We have yet to use it in actual locations this gear was made for, but we can't wait!! I'm sure they can wait, but we're super excited! So I highly recommend Ruff Wear to anyone who has dogs. Their gear is amazing, and very nice. Somewhat expensive, but totally worth it if your dogs are a part of your family like ours are. I hope everyone has a doggone wonderful day!! :)

Good Morning!

My weekend is officially over! My dad left last night, but we had a great time! Saturday we fixed the laundry room sink...thanks to having done pipe work at his house while Freddie was gone I was able to diagnose the problem, and he was able to help me fix it!! Handy woman in the works! Sunday we went to see Kung Fu Panda 2!!
It was super cute!!
I love feel good movies that make everyone smile!!
Monday we went to the gym, and had a crazy good workout! I did my mile run, and then did some strength training which is always fun. I don't know if anyone else's gym is like this, but every time I go into the weight room I get strange looks from all the men because that's all there is in there!! It's like the He-man-woman-haters-club, and there are no girls allowed!! Oh well...I'll just keep going and prove to them that women are strong too!! Anyway...have a great Tuesday!!

Hello Bloggers!

Hello fellow bloggers! I thought it was time that I enter the world of blogging to have an outlet as well as something to do!

Things are somewhat busy/crazy at the Kight house because I am attempting to finish all of my homework (a paper, 2 discussion boards and responses, a short essay and a paper proposal) today as well as get ready for my dad to come visit!!
The best Dad EVER!

So I know that blogging is probably the last thing I should be doing, but this seems to be more fun!! Freddie is busy studying for Jump Master School which he will be leaving for next week, and this comes right on the heels of him testing for Staff!! Fingers crossed folks...we find out in August, so I'll update y'all then!!
Any who, just wanted to say hey and have a wonderful weekend!! More on Monday!!
